It has been a long wait, but the Desert Kingdoms pack is finally here and in your grubby hands! This free download puts you in charge of three new playable factions: Palmyrene Empire, Nobadyan Tribes, and Tanukhids. You will have access to new buildings, units & animals from the Middle East region including fabulous Arabian horses, camels and ostriches. New religions such as Christianity and Judaism get customs buildings to increase their influence on the region. If you are new to the Total War series, this pack is a great place to start playing. Players familiar with the series may want to try out this desert based faction before tackling the main game. Players can download this content for free by visiting our forums page.The Palmyrene DLC adds three new playable factions to Total War: ROME II, each with their own unique units, buildings and bonuses. The Palmyrene Empire covers a vast area of history from 200BC-640AD during which time they established their empire in North Africa and parts of Southwest Asia under the rule of Queen Zenobia and brought about major changes in religion and culture during that time period. The Palmyrenes will be playable in the Grand Campaign, Custom and Multiplayer Battles. There are two new playable Factions for Desert Kingdoms: Morganaa, the daughter of Herod the Great, vowing to regain her father’s throne; and Queen Musa ruling over camel-riding desert nomads in one of the most inhospitable landscapes on earth. This free content also includes 3 new historical battles including the Siege of Bosta, Battle of Bosra and Battle Of Emesa. The Battle of Bosta represents a rare surviving example in ancient military history wherein a single pincer movement caught an entire army unaware in their encampment resulting in mass slaughter. The Nobadyan Tribes DLC adds three new playable factions to Total War: ROME II, each with their own unique units, buildings and bonuses. The Nobadyan Tribes cover a vast area of history spanning the 1st and 2nd centuries AD and were powerhouses in the ancient world ruling large territories from Elam to Assyria. This free content includes 3 new historical battles including the Battle of Nineveh and Siege of Ctesiphon. The Tanukhids DLC adds three new playable factions to Total War: ROME II, each with their own unique units, buildings and bonuses. The Tanukhids cover a vast area of history spanning the 3rd – early 1st centuries BC and their power was once again demonstrated in the Persian Wars where they carved out great empires only to be conquered by Alexander the Great. This free content includes 3 new historical battles including the Battle of Issus and Siege of Babylon. The expansion also introduces two new religious factions: Christianity brings its doctrines with it to Desert Kingdoms, while Judaism continues its traditions from previous games.
